Plays on words & Black Comedy

This advert was aired in 2008, it is a kind of parody of the classic barman to talk about your problems. In this case he impersonates and encapsulates the entire evening and role plays the potential of what drinking too much could do for the mans evening. In some ways this could be considered black comedy, the way he is almost ridiculing & mocking the man for his choice. This is an effective technique to discourage.

The punch line at the end is what sticks with the audience. The play on words is effective enough to create a lasting impact - this is what i want to incorporate into my advert.

The main point of the advert is that you wont have this advice when you start the evening, so think about your actions.
